Another name for it is Insulin Potentiated Therapy (IPT). This therapy uses a combination of insulin( found in nature) and a chemotherapy drug. Cancer cells have highly active insulin receptors. The theory for IPT is that insulin works on the cell membranes and allows chemotherapy to target cancer cells. Thus, it is the chemotherapy that kills the cancer cells; however, because of the insulin, the amount of chemotherapy needed is greatly reduced. Thus, the chemotherapy is much more potent, much less chemotherapy is needed, and far less side effects are experienced. I won’t lose my hair! I am wearing a cold cap on my head for extra protection. The orange that you see coming out of my catheter line is the IPT. I also received my daily dose of IV Vitamin C and K and I received a bag of iron IV. My iron is low based on recent bloodwork. I received a B12 injection too. I received another round of IV Ozone which is ozone added to my blood and given intravenously. It protects cells against extra damage from chemotherapy. Today, I am feeling tired and I have a headache.
